About the conference

Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is set to host its fourth Future Materials Conference on 15-17 October 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. This conference will serve as a gathering point for designers, researchers, industry representatives, and students to explore and discuss the latest trends in material research and the materials industry. Through a mix of lectures, discussions, and workshops, the event will delve into the latest technologies and breakthroughs in material innovation.

Shifting Mindsets: Building Ethical Circularity Together

This year's conference brings together industry and academia by moving beyond current trends in renewable and recyclable materials, examining circular design from a holistic, systems-level, and more-than-human perspective.
