Fi-lux Generative lamp design, texture, and innovations in 3D ceramic printing
In my work, I explored the transformative impact of 3D ceramic printing on design thinking and the evolving role of designers. With CAD software and digital tools, designers can now create complex, precise designs, opening new possibilities in ceramic design. My master’s project, Fi-lux, focuses on creating generative, translucent lighting fixtures through material research and innovative printing techniques. Using open-source 3D printer extruders and custom Rhino Grasshopper code, I developed exciting structures along the Z-axis, enhancing translucency and durability to fully harness the potential of 3D printing in ceramics.
