Sound Wool

APOL TEMESI graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design as a textile designer in 2014. Afterwards, she was a DLA student at the MOME Doctoral School, defending her doctoral degree in spring 2022. His research interest is in restorative raw material-centred design. As a designer, she focuses on natural, renewable raw materials, and his work seeks solutions for the use of wool residues from the regional textile industry.

Her innovative material development of wool acoustic panels was selected for the Climate-KIC Accelerator programme in 2018, where she won an award and a special prize, in 2019 she was a László Moholy-Nagy Design Scholar, and in 2020 she won a prize at the Climate-KIC Retrofit international climate innovation competition. She is the founder of the SoundWOOL brand, which won the BIG SEE Product Design category in 2022.

She has been a Homo Faber member since 2024.
