Buoy Lamp Collection
The Buoy collection is a series of lamps crafted from sailcloth, designed for both indoor and outdoor use. This collection repurposes the durable qualities of sailcloth, giving the material a fresh function beyond its original purpose. Developed as part of my master’s thesis, the project offers an alternative to discarding sailcloth that has accumulated around Lake Balaton—no longer fit for sailing, yet still excellent for other applications. The project’s educational goal is to increase public awareness in Hungary about the reuse potential of sailcloth and to highlight its versatility for new purposes.
